Privacy Policy

wyou ("wyou", "we", "us", "our") is a private space for two people — a couple — to stay close: a shared home-screen widget, drawings, love letters, daily questions, and small rituals. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. wyou is operated by Nixify. If you don't agree with this policy, please don't use the app.
Who the app is for
wyou is for people 13 and older (16+ where required by local law). It is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13; if you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
Information we collect
You give us
- Account details — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and basic Google profile info (and your Google account ID).
- Relationship content — your anniversary/start date, milestones, drawings and doodles on the shared canvas, love letters (text and drawings), daily-question answers, mood check-ins, lists, memories, reminders, and your invite/pairing code.
Collected automatically
- Device & technical data — a push-notification token (so we can notify you and your partner), device/OS type, app version, and basic diagnostic/crash information used to keep the app working.
- Usage data — streaks, heart points, levels, and achievements that the features generate as you use them.
- Advertising identifier (free accounts only) — if you use the free version, our ad provider (Google AdMob) uses your device's advertising ID and limited device data to show and measure ads. Pro accounts see no ads and this is not collected. We never share your relationship content (drawings, letters, messages) with advertisers.
From our payment processor (only if you subscribe)
- Purchase data — subscription status and transaction identifiers from RevenueCat / the app store. We do not receive or store your full card details.
We do not collect your contacts, precise location, or microphone/camera audio. The camera/photo permission, if used, is only for content you choose to add.
How we use your information
- Provide the core couple experience (widget, canvas, letters, questions, milestones, streaks).
- Sync your shared content between you and your partner in real time.
- Send push notifications you'd expect (a partner's heartbeat, a new drawing or letter, reminders).
- Maintain streaks, heart points, achievements, and levels.
- Process subscriptions and unlock premium features.
- Keep the app secure, debug issues, and improve performance.
We do not sell your personal data. Free accounts see ads served by Google AdMob, which uses a device advertising identifier to show and measure those ads; Pro accounts are ad-free. We never use your relationship content (your drawings, letters, or messages) for advertising.
How your data is shared
Your relationship content is shared with the one partner you pair with — that's the whole point of the app. Beyond that, we share data only with service providers ("processors") that run the app on our behalf, under contracts that limit them to providing their service:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and realtime sync (PostgreSQL with row-level security).
- Cloudflare R2 — storage for the images you create (canvas drawings, letter doodles).
- Google / Firebase — Google Sign-In and push-notification delivery (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
- RevenueCat & the app store (Google Play / Apple) — subscription and purchase management, if you go premium.
- Google AdMob — shows ads to free accounts (Pro is ad-free). AdMob uses a device advertising identifier and limited device data to serve and measure ads. In the EEA/UK we ask for your consent before serving personalized ads.
We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service. We never share your relationship content with advertisers or data brokers — the only ad-related data is the device advertising identifier AdMob uses to show ads to free accounts.
Where your data is stored & how it's protected
Data is stored with the providers above and may be processed on servers outside your country. In transit it's encrypted with TLS/SSL; in our database, access is restricted by row-level security so only you and your partner can read your pair's content. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data, drawings, letters, and relationship content are permanently removed within 30 days (some minimal records may be retained where legally required, e.g. transaction records). Deleting your account also removes the shared content from your pair; your partner is returned to an unpaired state.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR in the EU/UK), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent.
- Access / export / correction — email us at the address below and we'll help.
- Ads — go Pro to remove ads entirely, reset or limit ad personalization in your device's Google settings, and (in the EEA/UK) change your consent choice any time.
- Push notifications — turn them off any time in your device settings, or in the app under Profile → Notifications.
- Unpair — Profile → Unpair removes the shared connection without deleting your account.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account and its data at any time, two ways:
- In the app: Profile → Privacy → Delete My Account → confirm.
- Without the app / on the web: follow the steps on our account deletion page, or email hello@nixify.app from your account email and we'll process it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. If changes are significant, we'll let you know in the app or by email and update the "Last updated" date above.
